Picking your bridesmaids is sometimes an easy no-brainer and other times you really have to consider who you want to be a part of your big day. Make sure when you think about who you’re going to ask, they have what it takes to help you out and make sure that everything goes smoothly leading up to your wedding day and on the day itself. Check out this list of big things to consider when choosing your girls!
● Helping the Maid of Honor (MOH) with planning and paying for the bridal shower and bachelorette party
● Attending the pre-wedding events like the engagement party, wedding shower, dressing fittings, bachelorette party, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, etc.
● Available to help with any DIYs for things used at the wedding, such as decor, favors, place cards, etc.
● Able to purchase their own gowns, shoes, and accessories that they’ll be wearing
● Help the bride get ready the morning of the wedding, getting into her dress, any hair or makeup touchups, not missing as accessories
● Assisting with decorating at any events, such as the engagement party, bridal shower, reception and ceremony
● Attending to wedding guests, encouraging dancing, and keeping the reception lively
● Staying at the reception until the end to help with packing gifts, taking down decor, etc.
● And most important, make sure your girls are going to be emotionally supportive and uplifting through the whole wedding planning process. It can be stressful at times and you need to have people that can support you, help you make tough decisions, and want to genuinely celebrate your new season of life!
